Julia Schlam Edelman

Dr. Julia Schlam Edelman is a board certified gynecologist and certified menopause practitioner. The North American Menopause Society selected her as their "Menopause Practitioner of the Year for 2010."Dr. Edelman earned a BS at Yale University and an MD at Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons. She did her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Edelman is a Clinical Instructor at Harvard Medical School, and an Adjunct Clinical Instructor at Brown Medical School. She was an attending physician at Mount Auburn Hospital prior to starting her private gynecology practice in Southeastern Massachusetts more than 25 years ago.Dr. Edelman says, "I wrote 'Menopause Matters: Your Guide to a Long and Healthy Life,' to answer the questions my patients ask me in the office every day.
