And while theories abound to explain the stories, the only certain thing is that popular interest in the mystery of werewolves remains strong.Werewolves examines the lore and legends of lycanthropy throughout history and from around the world, describing the many types of werewolves and case studies, and offering readers information they need to conduct their own field investigation.

About the Author

Linda S. Godfrey

For almost a quarter of a century, ever since breaking the original story of the Beast of Bray Road as a small town Wisconsin newspaper reporter, I've been chasing the elusive upright canine some folks call werewolves. People from around North and South America and even Europe and Australia have contacted me with reports of their encounters. Sometimes their stories describe Bigfoot, giant birds or water monsters, as well. There's a world o'weirdness out there! The fact that people keep seeing these things is what drives me to keep searching, investigating, speculating and writing about them. And after 25 years and 17 published books, I'm still tracking those unknown trails.
