About the Author
Rebecca Hazell is a an award winning artist, author and educator. She has written four non-fiction award winning children's books, created best selling educational filmstrips and educational craft kits for children, and even designed award winning needlepoint canvases. Her latest children's book, The Sweeper, A Buddhist Tale, will be published on August 29, 2017, by Shambhala Publications.She holds an honours BA from the University of California at Santa Cruz in Russian and Chinese history.Her epic historical trilogy, The Tiger and the Dove, is a story that haunted her for 40 years until she gave in, did the extensive background research, and wrote it. The Grip of God is set during the Mongol invasions of Europe and the Middle East where it follows the fate of Sofia, fallen from princess to slave; Solomon's Bride follows Sofia to Persia, home of the Assassins, and the Crusader states, where both love and loss await her.
