Michael Mallory is an internationally-recognized authority on the subjects of film, animation and 20th century pop-culture, and the author of eleven nonfiction books, including "The Vampire Diaries: Unlocking the Secrets of Mystic Falls," "Marvel's Black Widow," "The Art of Krampus," "Universal Studios Monsters," and "Marvel: The Characters and their Universe. With the legendary American animation artist Iwao Takamoto he co-authored the memoirs "Iwao Takamoto: My Life With a Thousand Characters," and has written more than 600 magazine and newspaper articles that have been published worldwide. In the realm of fiction Mike writes the Amelia Watson mystery series, which include the novels "The Stratford Conspiracy" and "Murder in the Bath," and humorous mysteries featuring hapless Hollywood P.I. Dave Beauchamp. In addition he is the author of the stand-alone novels "The Mural" and "Death Walks Skid Row, and more than 140 short stories, mostly mystery. A former newscaster and actor, Mike lives and works in the Greater Los Angeles area.
