About the Author

Agatha Kulaga

Agatha Kulaga grew up in Connecticut, where she was probably the only kid on her block eating traditional Polish dishes like tripe soup, liverwurst and butter sandwiches and blood sausage. Some of her happiest childhood memories are of baking alongside her mother and grandmother, making Old-World sweets like apple cake, poppy-seed rolled cake and fat dessert dumplings.Agatha spent over a decade working in restaurants before pursuing a career in psychology, but never stopped scheming about food: she experimented with novel flavor combinations, started a supper club and acted as the personal pastry chef for her friends. She is grateful every day for the opportunity to grow Ovenly, which is rooted in her childhood love of Eastern European treats. This is Agatha's first cookbook.
