About the Author

Christine Conners

In was Summer 1995 when a gaggle of long-distance backpackers, resting briefly at the Conners home from their border-to-border trek along the Pacific Crest Trail, provided the inspiration for Tim and Christine's first book: Lipsmackin' Backpackin'.

The success of Lipsmackin' Backpackin' led to subsequent additions to the Lipsmackin' series, including the most recent, Lipsmackin' Car Campin' (Spring 2013 release) , and the creation of a series of popular outdoor cookbooks for the Scouting world beginning with The Scout's Outdoor Cookbook in 2008.

It goes without saying that Tim and Christine love the outdoors and, in particular, the high mountains of the Western and Eastern United States. They've backpacked long stretches of the Pacific Crest Trail and, more recently with their four kids, the Appalachian Trail.

Tim and Christine help to preserve and protect the nation's long foot paths as Trail Guardians in the Pacific Crest Trail Association and as members of the Appalachian Trail Conservancy and North Country Trail Association. They serve as leaders in Boy Scouts of America where, among other things, they have the opportunity to test the latest outdoor culinary tricks on Troop 340!
