Sarah Leah Chase

Sarah Leah Chase is a cookbook author, food columnist, and culinary consultant. Her cookbook career was launched when she co-authored the bestselling Silver Palate Good Times Cookbook with Sheila Lukins and Julee Rosso in 1985. Over the next decade, Sarah subsequently wrote the Nantucket Open-House Cookbook, Cold-Weather Cooking, Saltwater Seasonings - Good Food from Coastal Maine, Pedaling Through Provence and Pedaling Through Burgundy. Sarah's long-awaited New England Open-House Cookbook - a lengthy labor of research, simmering, story-telling, and enthusiasm - will be released in June 2015. Sarah teaches cooking classes at select schools across the country, writes the weekly food column for Nantucket's Inquirer & Mirror newspaper, and has been a Thanksgiving guest chef on Ina Garten's Barefoot Contessa TV program. Sarah also develops recipes and concepts for her husband Nigel's specialty food company, Coastal Goods. She lives with her family on Cape Cod, where she enjoys oystering and gardening as much as cooking.
