Deborah Smith Pegues grew up in the Deep South during the 1960's. From her humble beginnings as a domestic maid, she had defied professional odds. She is a CPA/MBA (Univ. of So. Calif.) , a John Maxwell Certified Leadership Coach, and Certified Behavioral Consultant. After an illustrious career of over 30 years in corporate America, Deborah launched her full-time writing and international speaking career in 2006. Her ECPA GOLD award-winning book, 30 DAYS TO TAMING YOUR TONGUE, revolutionized conversations around the world. It has been translated into 6 languages and sold over one million copies. She is also the prolific writer of 17 other life-changing titles. A highly regarded businesswoman, Deborah is also the loving wife of 41 years to Darnell Pegues. Though they have no children, Deborah serves as the matriarch of her huge family.
