About the Author

Andrea Raynor

Andrea Raynor a graduate of Harvard Divinity School, is a United Methodist minister, a chaplain, and a cancer survivor. She has served as a hospice chaplain since 1997, has worked with the homeless in NYC and Boston, and was a pastor to churches in NY, CT, and MA. In the aftermath of September 11th, she served as a chaplain to the morgue at Ground Zero, offering blessings over remains and support to the many workers there. Her books include: The Voice That Calls You Home, Incognito: Lost and Found at Harvard Divinity School, The Choice, A Light on the Corner, and The Alphabet of Grief. She has lectured throughout the New York area and has appeared as a guest on public television and radio. She is currently the Spiritual Counselor at Greenwich Hospital Home Hospice in Greenwich, CT and lives with her family in Rye, New York, where she is also the Chaplain to the Fire Department.
