About this item
Emma leaves London and her life in high finance behind her and moves to an idyllic village in Cornwall, with its cobblestone streets and twisting byways. She plans to open a village tea shop and bake the recipes handed down to her from her beloved grandmother, and of course there'll be plenty of space for her talking corgi, Oliver, to explore. Yes...talking. Emma has always been able to understand Oliver, even though no one else can. As soon as Emma arrives in the village she discovers that the curmudgeonly owner of the building she wants to rent for her shop hates dogs and gets off on the wrong foot with Oliver. Although some might turn tail and run, Emma is determined to win her over. But when she delivers some of her homemade scones as a peace offering, she finds the woman dead.

I was raised in California for most of my childhood. I swam competitively from when I was seven until I graduated from college. During that time I competed in NCAA's, senior nationals and the Olympic Trials. After college I moved to Texas and began my real estate career. In addition I started writing when I was 29. I wrote "Find Paradise Now - Seven Simple Steps to an Extraordinary Life" which was a synopsis of stories and lessons I took from my swimming career and used in life.I also wrote "Liberation - Will you Survive or Thrive?" with Mike Watson. This book has quotes and anecdotes about forty different words, for example; "Kindness is a natural part of human relationships for those who understand the interdependent nature of humanity." "Risk, A person unwilling to risk all they have, is willing to risk all they can become."The next two books I also co-authored with Mike Watson. The first is called, "The Highest and Best Real Estate Investment" and covers Mike's program for investing that teaches a buyer to change the value of a property by converting it to it's highest and best use. The second is called "How to Buy and Sell Real Estate Without Using a Bank" and discusses in detail how to use seller financing in a way that benefits the buyer and seller both.I married my husband Mark in 2001 and we started a family in 2003. He passed away in 2009. I currently live in Texas with my two boys, family and friends who light up my life. My latest book is "The Gift Giver - A True Story" which is a true story about the year after my husband passed away and the incredible events that occurred during that time which showed me without a doubt, that everything, no matter how difficult, happens for a reason.Thank you for visiting my page.Light and Love,Jennifer
