About the Author

Luke Flowers

Luke Flowers is an illuminator of the imagination that spends his days (and most nights) in his cozy creative cave illustrating and writing children's books. This has been his lifelong dream, ever since his grade school days. Inspired by his collection of books, he spent hours every day drawing and dreaming. Not much has changed today, and he still has many of those books in his ever expanding library that bring daily inspiration for creativity. He's grateful that among those are books he's had the joy of illustrating, such as "One More Dino on the Floor", "Little Bo Peep and Her Bad, Bad, Sheep", "Move!" "No Way! Way! Fun Facts" (The Smithsonian book series) and many more. He has created work for a range of clients that include Compassion International, Focus on the Family, David C. Cook, Highlights, Workman Publishing, The Smithsonian Institute, Cantata Learning, Capstone Publishing, Albert Whitman Co., Nickelodeon, Random House and Scholastic. He has recently illustrated and written his first early reader book series with Scholastic that will be released Spring 2017. When he is not in his creative cave, he finds inspiration in strumming on a guitar or banjo, writing songs, and consuming a unique blend of movies, music and coffee. Of course, all those adventures can only be enjoyed fully with his wife and 3 kids where they live in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
