Kathy grew up in Santa Cruz California where her passion for vegan cooking, food photography, green living and art began. She holds a B.S. from American University (Washington DC) in Health Promotion.

Kathy began her popular vegan food blog Healthy. Happy. Life. in 2007 without ever imagining her blog, food photography and cookbook writing would become her full time career.

She lives in Los Angeles, California and enjoys beach days, farmers markets and sipping smoothies at home with her husband and beloved cat "Nelly."
