Emma Frisch
Emma Frisch is the cofounder and culinary director of Firelight Camps, a glamping destination in the U.S., featured in Vogue, Travel Channel, Wall Street Journal, Bon Appetit and Martha Stewart. She was a top finalist on Food Network Star season 10 and has developed over 500 original recipes and cooking videos on her food blog, www.emmafrisch.com. Emma and her husband co-founded La Buena Onda, a boutique hotel and restaurant in Nicaragua. Prior, she worked in the U.S. and abroad to help build farm-to-table food systems, including as a Fulbright Scholar in Ecuador, where she became a founding member of Groundswell International. She trained as backcountry guide at the University of Maryland, before transferring to the University of Pennsylvania to continue as a guide and receive a B.A. in Food Studies. She grew up speaking Italian with her mother, and is an identical twin and one of eight siblings. She lives in Ithaca, NY with her husband and daughter.
