Robin Oliveira

Robin Oliveira grew up in upstate New York but now calls the Seattle area home. She is a former registered nurse specializing in Critical Care and Bone Marrow Transplant, but now writes fiction and the occasional essay. She holds a B.A. in Russian and studied at the Pushkin Language Institute in Moscow when Russia was still the USSR. In addition to a degree in nursing, she holds an MFA in Writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts. She is the New York Times bestselling author of three novels. Her first, My Name is Mary Sutter is an epic novel about medicine and nursing in the Civil War. The second, I Always Loved You, traces the lives of the Impressionists in Paris, France. Her most recent novel, Winter Sisters, explores the disappearance of two little girls during an historic blizzard in Albany, N.Y., touching on the triumph of the human spirit in the most difficult circumstances.
