About this item
Children's Literature - Julia Beiker This fanciful tale takes coincidence to a higher world, where reality clashes with fantasy. Throughout the story, the reader must decide whether there is a heroine or hero, or maybe both. Corinthe and Lucas come together in what appears pure coincidence; but after multiple twist and turns, nothing seems as it should be. One comes from Earth, while the other exists on a higher plain. Neither can resolve their conflict without the other, a fact that becomes quite apparent to the reader before the characters. The action-driven plot moves the story, with most of the characters adding dimension. Miranda not as believable as the other characters, maybe because her agenda does not ever seem clear.
