Liz Harmer is a Canadian writer living in Southern California. Her work has been published widely, in places like Hazlitt, Literary Hub, The New Quarterly, and the Globe and Mail. She has won a National Magazine Award, been cited by the Best Canadian Stories, and was a 2018 finalist for the Journey Prize. The Amateurs (Knopf 2018) is her first novel.
