About the Author

Enamored of women's fiction from the time she could read, Hilary began her first novel at age sixteen, and has written three historical romances under a just-slightly-different name, one of which won RT Book Club's award for Best Historical Romantic Adventure. After years of being a tough-as-noodles New Yorker, life took a ride on art's coattails, and she followed the heroine of her new novel out to the sunny southwest. She currently resides in Santa Fe with her three slightly sulky kitties, and is finishing up her next novel, LAST CHANCE LLAMA RANCH, set in Northern New Mexico and jam-packed with wooly good times. When not writing, she's usually elbow deep in bread dough, balls of yarn, or huffing and puffing up one of the local hiking trails.
