About the Author
Hi, I'm the author of picture books, young adult novels, and the 4 for 4 middle-grade series featuring Top of the Order, Eyes on the Goal, Love of the Game, and Take Your Best Shot, which follow four friends through four sports as they navigate the changes between elementary school and middle school. I write both fiction and nonfiction, including For Extreme Sports-Crazy Boys Only. My latest picture book is Their Great Gift: Courage, Sacrifice, and Hope in a New Land, a story about immigration with extraordinary photographs by Wing Young Huie.
My most recent YA novel is Gap Life about a boy named Cray whose parents will pay for college, but only if he studies what they want, which is not what he wants. You can click Look Inside to get a preview and I hope you like it.
