About the Author

Fiona Heggie

Fiona has always loved food and was lucky to extend her passion to her career. She trained at Leith's School of Food and Wine and ran a successful London based catering business for many years.

When her son Casper, was diagnosed with food allergy to egg, gluten and peanuts she found it easy to cook family meals that everyone could eat because of her background as a chef. Her family like to all eat together where possible and make meal times a real social occasion so it made sense for everyone to eat the same food, allergy or not.

Fiona and Ellie have been friends since school and they have combined their skills to write the much needed Allergy-Free Family Cookbook, packed full of advice and tips for other families going through the same daily challenges of cooking for and managing food allergy.

This collection of recipes is great for any family, of any age, with one allergy, multiple food allergy, intolerances or no allergy at all. They are simply delicious, easy to prepare everyday family food, designed for busy families that only want to cook once.
