From author-illustrator team Pete Oswald and Justin K. Thompson comes a hilarious picture book about a flamingo named Mingo who is ready to fly but gets lost from the rest of the flock during a terrible storm. To make matters worse, when he crashes, he completely forgets who he is and where he belongs. With the help and training from some new friends, he must find the strength to make it back home and reunite with his family.

About the Author

Pete Oswald

Pete Oswald a LA based artist, kid lit author/illustrator & Production Designer. He is the co-creator of Mingo the Flamingo - a picture book about a migrating flamingo who crash-lands in Siberia and doesn't know who he is - published in 2017 by HarperCollins. Pete is also the illustrator to The Bad Seed, coming later in 2017 from HarperCollins and authored by Jory John.

When Pete is not working on books he is helping to uplift many of the most successful animated franchises as a character designer, concept artist and production designer. Pete has worked on The Angry Birds Movie, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatball 1 & 2; and Hotel Transylvania; and Oscar® Nominated ParaNorman, for which he earned an Annie Award nomination.

Pete lives in Santa Monica, California, with his wife and two sons.
