The seventh and final season of the third Star Trek spin-off television series, Star Trek: Voyager, has been given the outstanding DVD presentation seen in all of the series' previous releases. High points of the season include an interplanetary starship race, characters Tom Paris (Robert Duncan McNeill) and B'Elanna Torres' (Roxann Dawson) wedding in the episode "Drive, and the return of the Star Trek: The Next Generation classic character Q (John de Lancie) in "Q2. " Special attention is rightfully given to the action-packed yet predictable feature-length final episode, "Endgame, which sees Captain Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) facing off in a final showdown with the dreaded Borg Queen (Alice Krige) in order to get Voyager safely back to Earth. The set's seventh disc finds a Trekkie treasure chest of bonus features. "Braving the Unknown: Season 7" contains an overview of the entire season with cast and crew interviews. "Endgame" is looked at in depth in "Coming Home: The Final Episode, " while the science of Star Trek is examined in "Real Science with Andre Bormanis. " "Voyager Time Capsule: The Doctor" shows actor Robert Picardo discussing his seven years on Voyager and just how his nameless character became such a hit with the show's viewers. A featurette on a Voyager-themed attraction at the Star Trek Experience theme park in Las Vegas, a photo gallery, and several hidden Easter eggs close out this well-rounded concluding set for an excellent series.
