About the Author

Steve was born in Hornell, New York to Ken and Renee Gray. His dad was a captain in the Air Force and the family lived in 10 different cities around the U.S. during his childhood. 15 schools later he graduated from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. He has been a professional illustrator since 1980. Currently he is working on his 12th children's book. When he's not drawing and painting he is playing golf. He also plays drums with his band Flying Utensils. They have been playing in the Los Angeles area for 27 years. They play rhythm and blues and rock and roll.
