The remarkable true story of Catana Starks (Academy-Award Nominee Taraji P. Henson) from historically black university Tennessee State who became the first African-American woman to coach an all men's team at the collegiate level. When she signed up to run the club, she expected it to be tough but she had no idea just how challenging it would be. With no scholarships to offer and only one US student to work with her, she was forced to reach across the globe and assemble a ragtag group of golfers. Through grit and determination, she overcame incredible struggles and deep seated prejudice from all corners to guide this unlikely group to an all time record championship season. With sage advice from her friend Roger (Michael Duncan Clarke) she taught the boys no matter how rough the start, with the right aim and drive, anyone can triumph against overwhelming odds.
