When John Jones returned home from medical school for a Thanksgiving visit with his wife and two-year-old daughter, he could not have anticipated that his mortal journey would end 28 hours later, 150 feet underground, at the dead end of a popular cave. Despite the heroic efforts of rescue crews, they were not able to free John's body from the narrow tunnel where he had become stuck while exploring with his brothers and friends.
