13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi is an action thriller based on the 2014 non-fiction book written by journalist Mitchell Zuckoff with the Annex Security Team. The film depicts the harrowing true story of the attack on a U. S. embassy outpost in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11, 2012, which killed four Americans (including U. S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens) . After the assault begins, an ex-military security team are tasked with protecting a covert CIA base approximately a mile from the outpost.
