Mia is an extrasensory teenage girl living on the planet Rathe, a world besieged by the undead. After a violent last stand, Mia and her warrior friends escape their world in a spacecraft. Instead of arriving at their intended destination, they are drawn to Earth by a mysterious force. The travelers quickly discover that their new home is undergoing the kind of violent social upheaval that occurred on Rathe before that planet's end. The Ratheans warn their new friends, a hip female professor and her group of student archaeologists at a dig site near the Dead Sea, but it's too late. World War breaks out and the dead awaken by some sort of heavenly trigger. Dead versus Living, each claiming divine providence, they battle for survival with unmatched savagery.
